who we are
Amanda and Brian Scheuzger have worked on just about every type of house or building over the past 25 years. Amanda is a designer with a deep sense of color, texture, and detail. Brian is a Maine licensed architect, who is also licensed in Connecticut, and loves to problem solve and see people enjoy the spaces that he and Amanda have had the honor of working on for them.
our story
After 25 years of immersion in architecture, Amanda and Brian Scheuzger wanted a change. Not just for themselves, but for others. How could they best give back to the people and the area that they loved so much? How could they craft their livelihood and use their talents to match their dreams of helping their community and the Midcoast of Maine?
Not satisfied with some aspects of their profession, they almost left it completely, but they soon realized that they had an obligation to not abandon all that they had learned (and still make a living) and wanted to share their knowledge with others in a way they had seldom experienced.
Accompanied by their passions in graphic design, knitting design, aerial videography & photography, the arts & the landscape, honest living, locally sourced goods & services, and giving back, they created Medomak Design.
At the foot of their home in Waldoboro, the Medomak River flows, and just as it winds through the land to the sea with honesty and integrity, so too would their artistic endeavors. No testaments to ego, no pretenses. Less emphasis on business and profit margins. More helping people achieve their goals, more offering advice to folks of all walks of life and income levels, and more investing in the community. More intrinsic value.
In short, not fancy, just good.
